Privacy policy
Your data. Clear responsibilities.
This policy describes how data is processed when you visit datasource.at or contact the website operator.
1. Data controller

2. Website access and security
When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure processes technical request data, such as your IP address, access time, requested resource, browser information and, where applicable, the referrer sent by your browser. This data is used to provide, operate, troubleshoot and protect the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functional and secure service under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. Cloudflare
This website uses Cloudflare to deliver and protect web traffic. Cloudflare receives technical connection information, including IP addresses and request data. Depending on the service and traffic routing, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area. Information about processing and transfer safeguards is provided in the Cloudflare privacy policy and the data processing agreement.
4. Contact inquiries
When you contact us through the form, by email or by phone, we process your details to respond and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract. Depending on the inquiry, this is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual steps, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for responding to business inquiries. Please provide only the information required for your inquiry.
The inquiry form collects your name, company, email address, phone number and message. These details are sent to the website operator by email; no automatic copy is sent to your email address. We use a Google Workspace SMTP relay service for delivery. Contact Form 7 does not store inquiry content in its own form database. A hidden verification field helps detect automated submissions without loading an external CAPTCHA service.
Data is retained for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and meet statutory retention requirements. Access is provided to the website operator and service providers involved in communication or service delivery. Inquiry content is not published.
5. Appointment booking through Google Calendar
When you select “Book a meeting,” a dialog opens with the embedded DAXS appointment page from Google Calendar. The calendar is loaded and a connection to Google is established only after you click. Google processes data including your IP address, connection information, any applicable cookies and the appointment details you enter. We receive the booking details needed for the meeting. The legal basis for processing your appointment booking is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The booking service is subject to Google's terms of service and privacy policy. Alternatively, you can contact us by phone or email.
6. Cookies, fonts and live request demo
The DataSource website design adds no analytics or advertising trackers, embedded videos or social media widgets. The website infrastructure may use technically necessary security or authentication cookies. WordPress login cookies apply to authorized users who sign in.
The font and technical graphics are served with the website. The live request demo processes only technical information from the current page request in server memory: masked IP address, request time, HTTP method, host, transport, and browser, operating system, device and language where these can be determined from the submitted headers. Where a Cloudflare connection is verified, approximate location information such as city, region, country and time zone may be added. Exact coordinates and full IP addresses are not displayed in the demo. Missing or unverifiable details are omitted. The output is returned only to your browser. The plugin does not store this data permanently, set cookies, create visitor profiles or send demo data to external APIs. This technical processing illustrates our integration services; the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. It is separate from the operational security and server logs of the website infrastructure.
Optional browser check
When selected, the browser check displays local browser capabilities, viewport dimensions, language and motion preferences. On the homepage, it also displays selected data that has already been masked by the live request demo for the same page request. Other pages do not load additional request data. The tool requests no location permission, queries no external provider and stores no data permanently. The display is cleared when closed.
7. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. Please contact the data controller with any questions about your data.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
8. Changes
This policy will be updated when data processing on datasource.at changes. Last updated: October 6, 2026.
